I’m sitting in the living room of my new place looking out the window. And there is a man sleeping in my bed. I’m just sitting here wondering what might come next.
He is awake now
Makes his way into the kitchen, puts the kettle on, comes toward me, and kisses me on the forehead.
“Shall we?” he asks
“Sure,” I say while he kisses my forehead again.
Today is my wedding day; there will be no ceremony, no friends, no family, no witnesses, just he and me, and the rain that comes down is a blessing from the Gods.
